What is National COVID-19 Day?
March 11 is the Day the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic
The purpose of National COVID-19 Day is to help the United States navigate our collective grief, encourage one another, and embrace hope for what is ahead.
March 11 was chosen in recognition of the day COVID-19 was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization.
The Humanitarian Disaster Institute and VOMO’s vision for National COVID-19 Day is that it will serve as an annual day of observance and service—and as an ongoing movement—for helping our neighborhoods and nation endure and overcome the pandemic.
From the smallest of projects to the biggest, boldest ideas, we can all become people of action on National COVID-19 Day and beyond.
The launch of National COVID-19 Day was made possible through generous support from World Vision, our partners, and you.
